I realized I was getting a cold yesterday when I got up for work. Today, I'm just beaten down. My grandmother took Wednesday while Joe is in class, and I'm wrapped up on the couch with tea and The Tudors. If I'm going to be sick, I'm going to do it watching pretty costumes and sexy intrigue.
The funny thing is, boots is no where to be found today. I don't know if that's a blessing, or a horrible curse, because I'm too sick to do anything, anyway. Ugh, I can hear my lungs bubbling. I'd better not get pneumonia again.
I think I might switch from tea to hot diet coke, because that always comforts me.
I had the strangest dream last night, that I had left Joe and was living in Germany with an older man. In the dream, he was played by Sam Neill. My mom was coming to visit, and I was going to show her around. She was very disapproving about me living with this this guy. The weird thing was, when I was showing my mom around the town, everyone was speaking German. I don't speak German. Who knows if any of it was actually German, but it was so disconcerting, because it was MY DREAM and I couldn't understand anyone.
For some reason, I took my mom to like, a Best Buy type store, and as we were leaving, there was Yoko Ono. And right behind her were Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. I went up to her, and I just stood there saying, "Oh my god!" and Paul backed away, like I was a crazy fan, so I said, "Oh, don't worry. I'm not all hung up on you. Or you, Ringo." And then I said to Yoko, "But I am hung up on John." She said, "I thought you might say that," and then told me that she was happy to hear it. It was such a strange dream.
